If the form has many number of fields and those all should need in read only when the state is completed, Its better to create a read only view. When the completed state arises switch the view to read only view, so that you can avoid many number of rules on fields in a single form.

Re: Submitting a Read Only form to SharePoint

Hi,
When you want to open a form in the readonly state you need to set an onload Rule to switch to readonly view of the form. So when you submit the form to Sharepoint set the state of the form as completed and when you open the form next time check if the status is completed, if it is completed then switch the view to readonly view.

Other way of doing this is, you can add conditional formatting to the fields to be readonly when the status of the form is completed.

Re: Submitting a Read Only form to SharePoint

Hello

You can create a Read only view of the form and can shift to this read only view on clicking the submit button. So that the submit button save the form to Sharepoint with this view.

Submitting a Read Only form to SharePoint

I want to be able to have a user submit the completed form as read only so no one is able to change the date picker or drop doen options. Is this possible?
