The hosted InfoPath is supposed to just use all the existing IP functionality unchanged, but inside a host. If it's really not working you may need to post on the Microsoft InfoPath public newsgroups to see if they have an answer or if it's a bug.

Re: InfoPath 2007 Hosted in Windows Application

Hi,

Its very late, but does any one has solution of this problem.

Please let me know, if you have some idea.

Thanks

Re: InfoPath 2007 Hosted in Windows Application

Hi JSmith,
There is no flash screen with InfoPath. Looks like you are running Beta2. There is a new "Technical Refresh" that was released 2 weeks ago. I would try to install that.

Re: InfoPath 2007 Hosted in Windows Application

Now that you mention it, when I open Word 2007, the flash screen clearly says 'Beta 2,' but I'm not getting a flash screen with InfoPath (though I may never have).

The version I am using is: Microsoft(r) Office InfoPath(r) 2007 (Beta) (12.0.4017.1004) MSO (12.0.4017.1003) BETA Part of Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2007 (Beta).

Thank you for your assistance. What is your build number? Are you using the beta2? Once I find out, I will ask InfoPath folks directly.

InfoPath 2007 Hosted in Windows Application

I have followed instructions http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms406041.aspx) on how to host an InfoPath form in a custom Windows Application. I got it to load a test app, as well as the current version of the large form template that we are currently using. The problem is that the application isn't letting the form control use the local InfoPath cache, not even during the same instance of running the application; there is a 40 second wait between view switching, even going back to previous views during the same instance. Is there a way I can compile that form cache with the app, or direct the form control to use local form cache?

Thanks for any tips, suggestions, comments, or redirection to other resources.

JSmith
