You can restrict users from writing to that location. If you do this, even if someone changes the design they cannot save to your design.
This is the case for any application not only to InfoPath application.

Probably you already know this but still wanted to remind you.

Agni
InfoPath Dev India

Re: Password protect design view

Franck

I know that is what i meant by 'protecting my forms'

I think pword protection for design mode would reassure me and other developers that some one could NOT mess about with my design at present it is liable for abuse.

Cheers Adam

Re: Password protect design view

Hi Adam,

Welcome t the Forum.
You can check the "Enable Protection" checkbox in Tools / Form Options / General Tab. It will at least give anyone a warning message before they can change your design.
To my knowledge, you can't password protect the design.

Regards,

Franck Dauché

Password protect design view

Just a thought but despite 'protecting my forms' i can see how someone with good knowledge would be able to modify the design easily. Could Infopath have password protection to prevent any such occurances on the design mode.

Many thanks
