Go to application log and look for the fatal crash. There will be two logs - one contains the bucket information. The bucket info can be searched on Microsoft's error reporting site to see if there is a hotfix for this issue.

Re: InfoPath event error

I just discovered another bug that happens with this:

If you have a preview of the project open and then go to wherever you published (in my case, SharePoint) and try to open the form to fill out, then it will give the same error.

Re: InfoPath event error

Thierry, I have had this problem too! It happens to me when I add custom widget menu items. The first preview works fine, but after you close the preview and then try to preview again, InfoPath totally crashes!

I tried to make a repro of this bug so that I could submit to Microsoft, but when I created a new blank form with custom widget menu items, it did not crash. Like you said, this is very strange and I don't know why it's happening. Please send me the form over e-mail so we can collaborate and maybe get to the bottom of this.

InfoPath event error

Hi,

I cannot reproduce the error on a simple form but what can I say is:

My error occur when I have a toolbar with one or multiple button and this button is link to an event.
