Alt+S doesn't do it since it just fires the special button code (but doesn't change focus). You need to call SetContext or something.

This is a good loophole, but in my mind, it's by design.

Patrick Halstead [InfoPath MVP]
InfoPathDev

Button Shortcut fire before field insertion

Hi,

I have found a very Recurring bug on Infopath for reproduce do the following:

Design new blank form put one textbox and a button

make an event .Net on the button click for recup the value of the fields in a string or show it to the user

create a shortcut for the button (for example alt + s).

Now fill out the form go on the textbox write somethings and before jump out of the field make the shortcut (alt+s) and see that infopath don't find nothing in your field!

Now click on the button: infopath find the field value!

So what is the problem: the OnAfterChange event is not fire?

Thanks for your comments!

++

Thierry

Every moment hesitated is a moment gone for life!!!
