It's not really a bug because for infopath what is the difference between 1 and 1 nothing! The rules is always choose the last!

My work around bind your dropdown for value and display to c and make a rules to set the value of b and the game is over!

Hope this help!

++

Thierry

Every moment hesitated is a moment gone for life!!! In the Form file, I have a structure like this:
<Row>1<\A>1<\B><C>Desc1<\C><Row>
<Row>1<\A>1<\B><C>Desc2<\C><Row>
<Row>1<\A>2<\B><C>Desc3<\C><Row>
<Row>1<\A>3<\B><C>Desc4<\C><Row>
<Row>2<\A>1<\B><C>Desc1<\C><Row>
<Row>2<\A>1<\B><C>Desc2<\C><Row>
...
I have a dropdown (called "DD1") that can assume values coming from "A" field and another dropdown "DD2" liked to "DD1" which has the values of "B" and display values from "C" fields. I think it's quite clear.

I tried to chose: DD1 = 1 and rightly DD2 shows me the following values:
Desc1(value-->1), Desc2(value-->1), Desc3(value-->2) , Desc4(value-->3)

It happens to me that in the DD2 if I choose Desc1, after changing the focus, DD1 is mysteriously set to Desc2(value-->1)...i think becouse they have the same value and infopath cannot distinguish them.
Anyway it's not fine that the users select an item and then another item is displayed...

Well...it's a behaviour difficult to explain, but i hope to have been clear enough...have you some ideas to avoid it?
