I believe that in a modern view library you can use the "Sync" option and that will force promoted properties to update when this happens. I've also used PowerShell to download all the files in a library before and had success with that approach.

Details Disappeared in Document Library

I used to be able to "Open with Explorer" but it appears all browsers these days no longer allow this. I needed to stop users from going to the document library and clicking "Files" (tab at the top of the document library) > "New Document" to create a new form. I use the JavaScript to redirect use of the document library to FormsViewer (on-prem), but using the Files > New Document method still opened the InfoPath template used to initially create the document library. So I opened the original InfoPath form (non-FormsViewer), created a view to tell people to use a new link to start a new form, and then published it - WELL HOWDY - I finally got my FV template to work by reestablishing the Secondary data connection to the document library, but instead of presenting the old InfoPath template by using the Files > New Document method, it presents an error "There has been an error while loading the form." - Not sure how to fix this, but this does stop people from using the old InfoPath template (but doesn't help redirect them as I had intended) - Help fixing this InfoPath template would be nice - I am still able to save via FV since I fixed the data connection.

BUT, now for my immediate problem. When the InfoPath form published, it cleared out all of the columns that I pushed to the document library. The data is still in the forms, they just don't display unless I open each file and close it. But, I have 1500 records. Previously, I could Open in Explorer and simply copy the files which would magically then display all of the column information again. Is this still possible?
