I ended up deleting the section and the checkbox and recreating them from scratch and the issue went away on its own after that. Strange behavior to be sure. :-)

Re: Update a field in another section from checkbox in a section

My guess is that there is an error on the condition or in the rule - when the checkbox is in the section, open the rule and check the formula - and re-verify the condition. It sits next to a calculated field that pulls from a secondary connection. I need it visible only when no is chosen. This works fine.

When the checkbox is checked and it sits inside its own section, it needs to concatenate data from 3 other fields into one string and set a text field in a hidden section with said value (the calculated value, a datetime field called alwaysNow, and the LoggedInUser text field). It works fine when I drag it out of its own section but doesn't gather the loggedinUser or alwaysNow both in the hidden section. Sorry this is so convoluted.

Thanks for any help
