When the XML were created, they get a URL to the form template they are supposed to open with, so my guess is that these XML are still opening with the old form.

Re: The Form can not be opened in a web browser.

Hello Hilary,

I am sorry to bother you again.
Could you do me a favor? I googled for a few hours, but I haven't found any solution yet.

I tried to move the infopath forms to a new form library. Luckily, the template in the new libarry works.

But when I tried to save old forms in the new library:

In the Microsoft Office InfoPath dialog box, click OK.
In the Save As dialog box, select a location where I want to save a working copy of the form, and then click Save.

The error message said still:
"This form cannot be opened in a Web browser. To open this form, use Microsoft InfoPath."

Re: The Form can not be opened in a web browser.

Hello Hilary,

Yes, it looks like (I don't know why), the library has an issue.
Yes, I will do move all the files to a new library. Thank you for your big big help!! Hope I can enjoy this coming weekend!
Thank you so so much again!!

Re: The Form can not be opened in a web browser.

I'm sorry - without seeing the form I'm pretty much out of guesses. It sounds like the library is the issue? When you publish to a new library the form works in the browser? If so, you may just want to start using the new library. You can copy all the files over from the old library and relink them in the relink view.

Re: The Form can not be opened in a web browser.

When I published this form in the same library, I saw the error message.

So I created another library, and published the infopath form, and then the infopath form worked well in SharePoint.

But the infopath form in the previous library that has the issue never worked.

I don't know why it happened.

Only one difference is there is an option "publish from the library" at the end of publishing. But the issue library didn't show this option.

Re: The Form can not be opened in a web browser.

Does your form have code in it? I got an error message,

This is InfoPath 2010, and SharePoint 2013.

Is there anything I can do for it?

I found this question and replies,(https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/0f4855f7-aa03-4580-85f0-e8672ad0f86d/infopath-forms-arent-uploading-in-central-admin?forum=SP2016)

The compatibility was the web browser form (infopath 2010), I tried the 2007, but it didn't work. I've attached images.

I will look up on the internet to findthe Fiddler.

Re: The Form can not be opened in a web browser.

Again, I wouldn't expect any of these warnings to prevent the form opening the browser. The compatibility is still set to browser enabled? That's also under form options. You may want to make a copy of the form and publish it to a test library, then you can try removing things from the form to narrow the issue down. You could also try running a tool like Fiddler when publishing to see if you can get any better info back from the publish process around why it is failing to browser enable.

Re: The Form can not be opened in a web browser.

The message is attached.

Re: The Form can not be opened in a web browser.

I deselected and published but it didn't work.

However, you may want to try to change the data connections to not be available offline - just to see if that makes a difference. That would be under Form Options - from the File Menu > Info > Click on the Form Options button and deselect the offline option.
