Or are you using InfoPath Filler? I'd use a slightly different approach for each, is why I'm asking. And are you using a list form? Or a library form?

Trying to create approval form within Infopath Form

Hello. I am trying to create an approval form which keeps the approval within the form, as opposed to using a Nintex workflow and Assign Flexi Task. The basic idea is a colleague would complete the form in one view, click a button to submit, then the approver (one static colleague) would receive an email with an internal view to add their decision and/or comments and click submit. From there, another colleague would receive the form for processing.

My idea is to use different views depending on who is adding their information and buttons to switch between the views. But I am struggling with figuring out how to set up the first submit button to send the data to the list, send an email to the approver with a link to the form in internal use.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
