Thanks for the response.

The main issue is with the 'multi selection list box'. I have 2 lists and i need to retrieve the data from List A Multi selection list box to List B multi selection list box. I'm doing this action using Set field value, when i'm doing this it is giving only first occurrence of the multi selection list box and ignoring the others.

Here i could not be able use the custom code as I'm using the list customized InfoPath form. Is there any other way to retrieve the multi selection list box data from one list to another list.

Please let me know your thought on this.

I'm having a hard time understanding, I'm sorry. If you use IE, the forum won't remove your paragraph breaks - that would help with readability. I think the heart of your issue may be that multi-selects are actually bound to a repeating field - and there is no rule based ways to add new instances of a field. In a test form, add a multi-select. Preview the form, select some items, and save the XML locally. Open the XML with a text editor and you'll see what I mean - there will be a field instance for each selected item.

You'll likely need to use code to add instances and populate them.

I'm facing an issue with multi selection check box field in InfoPath while retrieving the data from one list to another list. I'm using Set field value action on change event. Just giving some outline of my solution, I have two lists, List A and List B. I'm creating a new item using list A and this item will be moved to List B. Once the Item copied to List B then i'm deleting the item from List A using workflow. Here create and update items will be done from List A only. I'm retrieving the item information from List B to List A form and will update item. Once the corresponding item has updated in list B then i'm deleting the item from List A. Coming to the issue with multi selection check box, when i'm trying to update the item’s information I have to retrieve the data from List B and will show on List A InfoPath form. In this case we are not able to get all the values selected in the multi selection check box in List B. InfoPath is fetching only first value of the multi selection checkbox and ignoring the remaining values selected. We need all the selected values to be populated from List B to List A InfoPath form. We can able get all the remaining fields data as expected except the multi selection check box values. For e.g. I have a multi selection check box named “Team” with values ‘Team1’, ‘Team2’, ‘Team3’ and ‘Team4’. When I’m creating an item I have selected Team1, Team2, Team4 in Team field and submitted the item. Assume that this item’s information has copied to List B. Now I want to update the same item information, so I have to do this item update using List A InfoPath form only. To do this I have to retrieve the item information from List B and will show that on List A InfoPath form. I'm retrieving the item information based on the Title field which is unique in List B. The “Title” for all the items will be displayed in the dropdown list in List A form. When I select the “Title” of that particular item I will get all the information as expected but when we come to the multi selection check box values, InfoPath is retrieving only ‘Team1’ instead of Team1, Team2 and Team4. Anybody having any idea how can I resolve this issue to get all the values from multi selection check box. Please let me know if you have any questions. Any help will be Appreciated Thanks
