Save a copy of the form, and save as source files. Create a new form using the SQL DB you want to use for your main database connection, and then you'll be able to compare the manifest.xsf files to see what you have to change.

Convert UDCX connection to standard SQL connection in existing form

Hey Everyone. I have an older form that utilizes a UDCx for it's main connection. I was able to remove the secondary connections and re-add them as standard SQL connections. But the Main Connection I cannot remove and re-add.

I was hoping that I can convert the UDC into a standard SQL connection by accessing the manifest and rewriting the XML to match that of a SQL connection. Is this option viable? or do I have to recreate the entire form?

Any suggestions are welcome! :)

Quick notes: IP 2010. Using old UDCx connections to SharePoint but want to use standard SQL db connections. Very comfortable with XML editing and compositions.
