I've seen a few of your articles and videos; you've been a big help.

Completely random in that a user creates an item and the workflow runs fine. He may try again and the error comes up. When I try to manually start the workflow I get another message - there are no workflows available for this item

Re: SharePoint Designer Workflow Errors

Completely random? Like - if you re-run the workflow for the same item, with no changes, it will run successfully? Or could it be that in some cases there is a data mismatch?

SharePoint Designer Workflow Errors

Hi Guys,

I've been using InfoPath and SharePoint Designer 2010 for a little over a year now but i keep getting an error i haven't quite been able to figure out. Occasionally, when i ask a workflow to update an item in another list or library, some of my users get this error - The workflow could not update the item, possibly because one or more columns for the item require a different type of information.

For most instances of the workflow, the entire process run seamlessly but occasionally, it just runs into this error.

Any insight will be much appreciated.
