My IE in my old laptop has Version: 11.0.9600.17843CO and my IE in new laptop has Version: 11.0.9600.17843 . Not sure what "CO" means. Both are in local Intranet and I have added the site to the compatibility mode as well. I've compared the IE settings to be the same as well. I haven't heard anyone having the same issue as mine so far. Not sure what to try next. :(

Re: Unable to open infopath form from SharePoint

Euw. So - the form has code? I guess I'd start by comparing the IE settings on your old machine with your new machine. Are you using the same version of Internet Explorer on both machines? Is the site in your local intranet or trusted sites on both? Perhaps add the site to compatibility mode, does that help? Do other users have the same issue?

Unable to open infopath form from SharePoint

Hi,

Can someone please help me how to solve this issue I'm having? I have a infopath form published in Sharepoint 2007. But I'm always getting this error message below whenever I'm trying to open an existing form or create a new one. I have no problem opening the form using my old work laptop but I can't figure out what I'm missing with my new laptop.

"Form template: http://stgsparch/sites/IT/migration-test/Programs%20Premium%20Booking%20Current%20Month%20Form/Forms/template.xsn
InfoPath cannot open the selected form because of an error in the form's code.
The Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 is not installed on your computer or the InfoPath primary interop assembly (PIA) is not registered. Use Add or Remove Programs in Control Panel to make sure that Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 is installed or install it using Windows Update, then run Setup again to confirm that .NET Programmability Support is installed, or contact your system administrator."

I have tried installing Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 and the the InfoPath primary interop assembly (PIA) as described here: http://www.infopathdev.com/files/folders/installation_and_setup/entry74079.aspx

But I'm still getting the same error message when trying to open the form in SharePoint. Please help as my old laptop is almost retiring.
