I got that working well, but something still seems wrong. I have attached what I am attempting to do, and basically I want the first item on the drop down menu, "PPH senior leadership team" to have three options in the follow up drop down: "Data Request", "Social Marketing Request" and "Policy Analyst Request". Any other option chosen in the first drop down menu, I want the only option in the second box to be "Data Request".

For some reason in my sample, all the options are showing in the second one... any ideas?

Thank you

Re: Cascading dropdowns

You can do this with an XML file that you add to your form as a resource file. I'm trying to create cascading dropdown options in infopath. I was able to successfully do this with a sharepoint list, but unfortunately the people completing my form will not have access to the sharepoint site where the list is housed, and therefore it won't work properly for them. Is there a way around this? Or is there a way to create cascading dropdowns that doesn't require external data?

Thanks,
Tobie
