Maybe check that?

InfoPath form publishing issue

This happens in a SharePoint/InfoPath 2010 environment:

When I'm working on an InfoPath template at some point it can't be published anymore. It will always give me an error saying "The parameter is incorrect", but not which parameter, or any specific information.

When I check the form template library, there is a new minor version, but the form cannot be opened in the browser anymore, but opens in InfoPath client instead.

When I change the name of the template by adding a leading 1 to it, the template can be published and opened in the browser again with no further problem.

Note that it has to be a leading 1. I tried 2 or 3, also at the end of the filename, and completely different filenames, but it only worked with a leading 1.

I read somewhere that you shouldn't use published xsn files for editing, only source files. Sometimes when I'm not sure if I have the latest version I download the version from the template library and edit that.

Could this be the problem?

If so, does anyone know what exactly the problem is and how to fix it?

Many thanks in advance!
