I've relied on embedding the doc or workbook as an object without linking to the file. This works fine.

Adding an Attachment field to a Document Information Panel using InfoPath 2013

Hi,

I am using Office 365 (SharePoint Online) with InfoPath 2013 on a Document Library. I have created a Document type Site Content type and have attempted to create site columns for this content type which allow an attachment field.

When I edit the Document Information Panel, the insertable fields include an Attachment field but due to the nature of the DIP, it doesn't allow you to just add one, you have to choose a data field to bind it to. Problem is there doesn't seem to be any compatible field I can create in Site Columns!

Any ideas?
