Promote all the fields that you need to see data from and then you can use views to find the open requests, who they are from, etc? That would be the simplest out of the box approach.

write from an infopath form to excel spreadsheet saved on a network location & publish to email

Hello,

The optimal method to accomplish what I need to do is to store the InfoPath form on the sharepoint and have it updated to the excel spreadsheet also stored on the sharepoint, however, because we're usiong sharepoint 2007 and have no access to write from InfoPath to sharepoint 2007 apparently, I'm attempting to come up with another solution.

1.) Currently, we have an info path form that users save to their desktop, fillout, and click submit and that form data comes to a distro list where requests are worked and responded to via email. However, there is no way to track the requests, the number of them, who they are from, etc, etc. So We'd like to also submit this form data to an excel spreadsheet for later reference and tracking purposes.

2.) So I'm attempting to create a ticketing system where users fill out an info path form stored on their computer or on the sharepoint to submit ticket requests.

3.) That information then needs to write to an excel spreadsheet stored in a network location or on the sharepoint for ticket/time/date/data tracking only

4.) The form data must submit via email to a distrolist where the tickets are worked on a first come first serve basis and notification/followup is done via email reply

5.) Query: What is the most efficient way of automatically exporting the form data to an excel spreadsheet every time the form is submitted and also emailing the form data to a specific distrolist when it's submitted.

Thanks so much for your time,

Nic
