I've not run into limits before on setting field values, but it could be I've just worked with much smaller list forms.

InfoPath SharePoint 2010 Browser Form for SharePoint List Limitations

Having an issue where I get a SOAP error "SOAP message cannot be parsed" "Publish operation could not be completed ..."

Right now, the form has four views. Each view has about 38 - 40 fields showing. SharePoint list is in testing phase right now with about 20 records total. I wanted to provide ability to pull in data from another list item (which I achieved) based a on a dropdown selection. However, when I used the "Set field value ..." based on dropdown change, I noticed I couldn't go above X amount of "Set Field" actions, without getting the SOAP error. So, instead, I set each field to have a default value based on the dropdown selection. That worked. But it still seems that if I add in a field to the view or add in a query on load, I get the SOAP error.

Even if I resolve the SOAP error, the form takes a while to load when trying to pull it up in SharePoint via Add New Item.

I checked the "executiontimeout" value and it is set to "3600" in the "web.config" file (which seems to be the default). When researching the error, it was suggested to change the timeout settings. I also saw info on number of calc columns in the list. I have about 4 of those.

Would appreciate any feedback on this issue.

Also, just an aside, is there a limit as to how many "Set Field Values" you can put on one Rule?
