Here are the steps to promote properties:

1) Create site columns in SharePoint for the fields you want to promote (create a new group and add the site columns to that group)

2) Publish your form as content type

3) In the publish wizard on the page where is says "The
fields listed below will be available as columns in SharePoint sites and
Outlook folders.” promote the fields and select the site columns you created in SharePoint

4) Create a form library
and allow it to manage content types.

5) Add the
content type to this library.

6) The columns should get added to your form library and the values should appear.

Hope this helps!!

We have a Centrally Approved InfoPath Form which is activated on a Site Collection. This Form is used across thousands(approx. 2000 - 3000, with Form added to a single Form Library in each site) of Subsite in this site collection. We have promoted many fields from InfoPath Form to SharePoint library. But with some fields, in some Form Library the fields are not getting values from InfoPath form. Upon checking further we found that the Field does shows in Library settings but it is not available in Library Content type of Form. So, the field is part of Site Content type but not part of Library Content type. The same field in different library works fine.

We have tried following approach,

1. Deactivate Form from Central Admin
2. Remove Form
3. Upload Form
4. Activate Form on same site collection

But still no luck. Can someone please help!!!
