I tried this on two different text fields as the default value - one text box is single line, the other is multi-line... the single line gives me spaces between the computer names, the multi-line puts a PILE of carriage returns between the computer names... I am thinking I will just convince the process owner to let me use semicolons and be done with it, as we are planning on moving this process to another platform.

Infopath 2007 Repeating table to text box with line breaks

Good morning all. I am faced with a challenge with presenting a repeating table into text format... I am subimitting the form to BMC Remedy to create an incident ticket... the problem is that the incident ticket doesn't play well with tables and formatting...

I have a repeating table for computer names, with a single field (field1) on the form and html e-mail the computer names show up as:

computer1

computer2

computer3

unfortunately, when they are pushed through the e-mail engine, they come out in the ticket as:

computer1computer2computer3

I have done some poking online, and there was some discussion using Eval and Concat in another text field and adding a Ctrl+Enter to put in a line break/carriage return... but the logic escapes me.

So, looking for assistance, how do I take my repeating table of one field, and merge any and all values in that table into a single text box with line breaks? I am also limited to using only the logic within an InfoPath form as we do not have VSTA installed on the majority of our computers...

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
