Is it the name and the hours field that you are trying to show from the other repeating table based on the phase selected in the first table? If you can explain this part more clearly "I am trying to get fields to show only when a phase is selected from the first table. For example, if the user enters A-13 and B-14 as phases in the first repeating table, there will be a A-13 hours and B-14 hours field visible beside each name". Also, is it possible for you to send me your form so I can understand your issue better?

Thanks,

Reema Daga

Conditional Formatting-Show Field if any occurence is equal to...

Hi,

I am having difficulty figuring out the logic to make a conditional formatting rule. I have a repeating table that has "Phases" as one of the columns. Users can enter as many phases as they need to utilizing the repeating table feature. In another section of the form there is another repeating table with "Name" and "Hours" as the columns. In this section users can enter an employee's name and their corresponding hours worked in each phase. I am trying to get fields to show only when a phase is selected from the first table. For example, if the user enters A-13 and B-14 as phases in the first repeating table, there will be a A-13 hours and B-14 hours field visible beside each name. There is a finite list of phases (users select them from a drop down box) and I have created matching fields for each phase's hours. I wasn't able to find a way to make a field default to hidden then unhide it when any occurrence of Phases = XXX. It seems like I need to conditionally show rather than conditionally hide fields or have a rule that somehow says if no occurrences of Phases = XXX then hide XXX Hours. I have been unable to find this functionality in InfoPath 2013. I am able to use .NET if this must be done programmatically, however I would rather use rules if possible since I am not a computer programmer and struggle with anything more than basic coding.

Thanks,

Taylor Kerby
