Refresh has a "report" mode. I wonder if you could parse the returned string for the ID of the item and then have a flag in the Main DS you set that it has been deleted from SharePoint - you'd need to remove the ID so it didn't try to update, and then modify your mapping to not resubmit it....

Re: Synchronizing SharePoint Task List status with Infopath

So I modifed my form to use the SharePoint ID. RefreshSharePointListItems works great except in situations where the task is deleted from SharePoint. In that case, the item is removed from InfoPath as well. I can't have this happen. I'd prefer to have the InfoPath item have it's status changed to "[Associated Task Deleted]". Is my assumption correct? It's not a deal breaker. I'm just trying to stay away from using SharePoint IDs as much as possible to head off any trouble that would come if and when we ever migrated SharePoint.

Synchronizing SharePoint Task List status with Infopath

I've an audit form that contains a repeating group of audit findings. Each finding will be assigned to a user and, upon form submission, a corresponding SharePoint task list item will be created. Rather than relying on the SharePoint ID to link each audit finding with it's corresponding SharePoint task list item, I'm using a natural key consisting of the auto-generated form name and the row number of each repeating group item. When the form is reopened, I want to query the status of each SharePoint task list item and update the status of each corresponding audit finding. I don't want to delete and repopulate the repeating group of audit findings using the SharePoint Task List items. I just want to update the status.
