Hello,

I am facing a similar issue, On PROD the form works fine.

I republished the form on DEV Server and here userprofileservice web service returns farm account.

Any help is appreciated.

Server: SP2010
InfoPath: 2010

Here is what I found.
When I moved the form from one web app to another, I needed to remove all my Data Connections that were calling a web service.
Also, working directly from the manifest file didn't work. I should have been working in the FormName.xsn file.

I'll update this tread after I move the form one more time.

Are the forms different?

Perhaps one if published directly to a form library and another is admin deployed?
Perhaps one is in the client and another one is in the browser?
Or perhaps one form has code and another one does not?

This one is real weird.

Trying to get the current user name.
One form is returning the farm account.
Created a new form using the same call, and it returns the correct user name.

I've tried removing all the data sources from the form.
Tried promoting the data connection to a data connection library.
Tried calling UserProfileService from the the site collection level Vs. the sub site.

Anything else I should try?
