Are you saying that your SharePoint list form has a repeating section in the main data source? As far as I know list forms don't support repeating structures.

Maybe you are referring to a secondary data source that has the repeating section. Changing the secondary data source won't edit the list, though, so that's not it.

Sorry, but I don't understand your scenario completely.

Reset Repeating Section IP2010

I'm trying to find a way to clear a repeating section back to default in a list form.

I have 3 views: New, Search and Edit.
They all contain the repeating section with all of the fields from the list.

Once I search for entries in the Search view, I can end up with multiple entries, which adds sections as needed.
I can then hit edit and it goes into a view with the same info on screen but with editable fields.
No problems there.
The issue is that when I go into the New view after I have searched for something, I end up with the same info again in those fields and possible multiple sections. This creates problems since it will edit those lines again if submitted from there.

So, what I really need is a way to set the section back to default when I hit the New button.
This has to be done without code.

Just clearing the fields with a rule doesn't help. It will still edit the items searched up and can result in blank lines in the list.

Any thoughts?

Please/Thank You.
