Does this work in SharePoint 2010? I see on the page it specifically mentioned SharePoint 2013

Re: Infopath 2010 web form in SharePoint 2010 - Spell check?

See http://www.programnetinc.com/tips for no-code solution to enable spell check on InfoPath browser forms.

Re: Infopath 2010 web form in SharePoint 2010 - Spell check?

I think I found a post from you from a couple years ago too. :) It's almost hard to believe that something so basic as that is still not available. Hopefully someone following these boards may have come up with some clever solution or a 3rd party tool I can buy and embed into the form or SharePoint to give me this functionality. As much as I understand this is a shortcoming of IE, the 'powers that be' - generally don't concern themselves with those finer details.

Re: Infopath 2010 web form in SharePoint 2010 - Spell check?

This is a tough one.

http://office.microsoft.com/en-001/infopath-help/infopath-2010-features-unavailable-in-web-browser-forms-HA101732796.aspx

I searched for a solution for this some time ago and didn't find anything acceptable. For example, installing something on each user's machine is not acceptable.

qRules does not have this functionality, unfortunately. Sorry!

Infopath 2010 web form in SharePoint 2010 - Spell check?

I fear I know the answer to this question but I have to ask. Is there a way to spell check a Infopath browser form in Sharepoint?

I converted an old Word document to a new Infopath 2010 form and published it to SharePoint. It is a web form and it is doing everything I need it to do. It has 20 or so Rich Text boxes in the form. One of my end users asked while helping test it asked "Where is the spell check?". As I've come to learn, the Infopath spell check doesn't work on web forms. I've done hours of "google'ing" and have not come up with a good solution. The closest thing Ive found is:

http://sharepointisland.wordpress.com/2012/10/25/spell-checker-for-infopath-based-internet-explorer-forms/

With that approach though the Spell Checker is ignoring Rich Text fields and often times preventing me from scrolling in the browser until after I run the spell checker. Wierd. Essentially the only thing that it is doing is spell checking the People Picker fields. I found some javascript that made it skip the People Pickers but the other text fields on the form aren't being checked for some reason.

I came here hoping there is a module or something I can addin to the form similiar to qRules which I bought for another issue to give me a spell check in the browser? Or is there a piece of code I can slap in the form or SharePoint to give me some basic spell check capability. I am not a developer and cautiously use code snippets I find on the web. I'm kicking myself for getting this form so far along and not knowing that spell check isn't really an OOB option. ARGH.

Does anyone have any advice on how to get a functioning spell checker in a browser form? Thanks in advance for your help.
