Our issue occurred after we changed one of the data connections, so we went back to the form before the data connection change and redid the data connection and filter update etc, and we were luckier this time, and form still got warnings from Design Checker for these filters but the form was published without problem and now people could open it in browser.

InfoPath for sure should give us clearer error message, an error message so generic is not helping us at all.

Cheers

After working with Microsoft's support I discovered the problem to be in the xpath of my form. My form was using people pickers and querying the user profile service to pull in email address's of users. Is this your situation? Here is the xpath:

INCORRECT XPATH:

xdXDocument:GetDOM("GetUserProfileByName")/dfs:myFields/dfs:dataFields/tns:GetUserProfileByNameResponse/tns:GetUserProfileByNameResult/tns:PropertyData/tns:Values/tns:ValueData/tns:Value[../../../tns:Name = "WorkEmail"]

As you can see near the end of the statement there is tns:name

The correct version replaced the tns:name with an s0:name

CORRECT

xdXDocument:GetDOM("GetUserProfileByName")/dfs:myFields/dfs:dataFields/s0:GetUserProfileByNameResponse/s0:GetUserProfileByNameResult/s0:PropertyData/s0:Values/s0:ValueData/s0:Value[../../../s0:Name = "WorkEmail"]

Please understand I do not claim to be an XML expert as its a skill im learning in more depth so I cannot speak to the why or what of this error, just how I fixed it.

If someone with more XML and Infopath knowledge would care to educate me I would appreciate it to further my knowledge.

Please let me know if this helps you Alberta and if i can provide any more supporting details please let me know

Good Luck

SharePoint Kev

Re: Infopath 2010 and Sharepoint 2007 web form will not publish

Has this issue been resolved? I have tired to publish this form to a form library in sharepoint but every time that i do i get the following error:

Could not verify the form template on the target server https://myserver/_vti_bin/FormsServices.asmx

I have tired numerous ways to publish this form and I cannot get it to publish. This is the only error that occurs on verify so i know its not a non-compatiable field type. The account that i am publishing as is a Farm Administrator.

This form was created by the client on his local machine and then published to the server. I have tried to publish the form from the server itself ( The client has a shared drive on his server that points to his local documents directory)

Please advise and thanks in advance
