I created a document library (form libraries not available for some reason) and then i allowed content management and added the form as the default content type. This created automatically a column for each form field.

I have another question though, my form has a file attachment field that is working and the file is being saved inside the form. I tried promoting this field as a column but it returns an error base64Binary. Is it possible to have the uploaded file separated from the form in a different column?

Thank you for your time.

Re: Publish option - Create sharepoint library

Hi _Tmc_,

Not quite sure what you mean, but I'll reply anyway ...

When you admin deploy a form in MOSS 2007 (or use the sandbox in SharePoint 2010) the form is published to a folder on SharePoint. You can create a form library from the SharePoint UI (not from InfoPath) and either a) set it to use content types (and associate your form template that way), or b) change the form template directly on the form library to point to the published admin form. So, you can get that to work and it's pretty easy. Check out Jo-Anne's blog for details on how to add form templates published as content types to form libraries ...

Regarding your columns, you do not need to set these from the publish dialogs. You can set the columns using the File->Advanced Options->PropertyPromotion dialog (or Tools->Form Options->Property PRomotion in IP2007).

Best of luck!

This is easily done with the Publish option - Create sharepoint library, where infopath automatically creates the library and the columns that we choose when publishing the form.

However i now have a form with C# code and this option isn't available anymore because the form needs first to be approved by an administrator. I have uploaded the form to the site and approved it but can't seem to get access to this publishing option.

I have used code because i have 2 dropdown list fields. Both of them draw information from a sharepoint list, but the second one is filtered by the choice made on the first one. This is working as expected with the C# code i did.

I would like help on the following:

a) Is it possible to have the same functionality without using code?

b) How can i get access to the Publish option - Create sharepoint library? If it's not possible, can i emulate what this option does manually?

Thank you for your time.
