We have an InfoPath form that uses a custom button to perform the submit and the submit through form options are disabled. However, as the forms are searchable through SharePoint (rather than accessing using the library and opening the web browser form) users search for the form (used for collecting non-conformance reporting and corrective actions), they find the form through the search and when they open the form it opens using the InfoPath filler and the submit is once again visible, if the user then hits submit rather than save, it creates another copy of the form in the library...
Can the submit button be disable in the above scenario?

Easiest thing to do is to just disable it all the time (Tools->Form Options). To replace the toolbar button, use a button in your form that does the submit. This is easy and you can create a rule that conditionally hides or shows the Submit button based on state in your form.

Good luck!

How to disable Submit button from standard toolbar?

Hi All,
