Then ask the user to open the form. The error message might be more meaningful. Good luck.

What did I do wrong??

Hi,

I'm attemptting to get a fairly basic form to work on my sharepoint site as a test. I've followed all the given steps and it works fine on my pc. However i've just tried it on a colleagues and I get the 'can not open form' error. I'm assuming that this might be a permissions issue but i'm not sure.

These are the steps I followed:

1 - Created a 'browser enabled form'.

2 - Created a form library in my sharepoint site.

3 - Created a data connection to submit the form to the library.

4 - Published the form to the library (as a document library)

5 - Set up an approval workflow with myself as the only approver

6 - Changed the library settings to open form in a web browser

7 - Copied the xsn location of the form template

8 - Created a new page with web parts

9 - Added the 'Infopath XML Form Viewer' web part

10 - Editted the web part to include the xsn location.

11 - Published page.

Like I said, everything works fine for me however my colleague wasn't able to view the form. I checked and she has 'restricted read access' to the form library.

Any ideas?
