I've tried with rules setting the field to nothing. The field begins to act strange. After I enter text into the field and select my post button--my managed code error routine detects that there is nothing in the Rich Text Field. Sure Enough, when I come back it's empty. It will stall if I enter it a second time.

I've tried

Trick: Clear or reset fields in InfoPath using only 3 lines of code

http://www.bizsupportonline.net/blog/2009/08/clear-reset-fields-infopath-3-lines-code/

Wierd things get put in rich text fields like "\n "

Any clues how to tame this bease in InfoPath 2007. I just want to clear the field.

thanks,
