Thanks Hilary for the solution. This provided me a way to proceed.

I have downloaded the sample, and when clicked on the HyperLink, it actually executes the server side OnContextChanged event and also opens the hyperlink window in the client side.

Is there anyway where in I can block the client side browser window opening ?

My requirement is,

There are different images on the form which are clickable

When user clicks on a particular image, I have to send some information about the image that was clicked using notifyhost method to my aspx page.

Basis on the information received about the image in my host aspx page, a modal pop-up window should open with some information about the image clicked. I have the information about the images stored in terms of some aspx pages in my MOSS environment. All I have to do is, open those links in modal windows.

Do you think this is acheivable ? I haven't implemented notifyhost method earlier and my assumption is it works fine with browser enabled infopath forms. If my assumption is true and if the image would show properly on button in browser enabled infopath forms, my requirement would have been fullfilled.

please advise.

regards,

You'd need to update to 2007 OM, and I haven't tested it in a browser form, but I think the general idea would work for you.

Image Button or Hyperlink Image click event

Hi All,

I need to notify the host on click of an image in my browser based form (im using XMLFormView control). I initially tried masking the image on a button, but as many others, even i had the same problem of the image not rendering when I publish the form to MOSS, instead a grey background is only displayed.

Had the image shown correctly, using notifyhost method would have solved my issue.

My question is, Is there a work around to use image button in browser based form? As mentioned, I need to write some code for the click event of the button.

Or else, is there a way where in I can capture the click event of the hyperlink control and then write my code for that event ? because, even the hyperlink can be masked with an image....but I'm wondering how to capture the click event...

your inputs are highly appreciated...

regards,
