HttpContext.Current.User.Identity.Name;

i just want to know what is the user the web form is running using his conext

you need to make sure that impersonation is working over your UDC user

no need for SSO ,If both SSO and UseExplicit are specified, Forms Services will use the credentials specified in the SSO element and will ignore the UseExplicit element.

also please read carefully this

The forms have some C# code and hence they are upload by the administrator. They are then activated to the corresponding site collection.

We have been using infopath web based forms for a while. As part of a recent development we needed to more about 20 data connections and some of them having about 4000 records .

We decided to use the following /sites/hro/_vti_bin/owssvr.dll?Cmd=Display&List=%7B6118F8D8%2D36D7%2D43DF%2D83AE%2DC2F2A3508A9F%7D&XMLDATA=TRUE&FilterField1=EmpFname&FilterValue1=Michael to filter values and not load the whole set of records as IE was becoming unstable.

While deploying it as a web based form we started to run into authentication issue.

We decided to use UDC's and also use the explicit authentication. Single Signon is not enabled on the server. It might be le late in the game to enable the single sign on.

<udc:Authentication>
    <udc:UseExplicit CredentialType="">
        <udc:UserId/>
        <udc:Password/>
    </udc:UseExplicit>
</udc:Authentication>

We decide to use a specific user id and password. We changed the view on the data connection library so that nobody can get to that file. We have search disabled on our site too.

Issue that we are facing is that if a user tries to connect who's user id and password is being used, the forms work correctly. If other users try to access the forms then the data connection has access issues.

We have a go live in a day or two. We will be willing to pay somebody to help with this issue, if they have solved a similar issue. We can do a webex and show you the complete setup. If anybody can help we would appreciate that. Our office is in Santa Clara,California but it does not really matter.

Please fell free to contact me Mahendra Bhegade @ 510-449-6650 and let me know if you can really help.
