To filter SharePoint lists we provide a free trial of our Web Service (WSSP). Here's some documentation: http://www.infopathdev.com/files/folders/wssp_v23_english/default.aspx. The Web Service supports filtering based on a date. The free trial is good until September but we can extend it for you if you need more time for evaluation. The pricing is very competitive and will definitely save you time and money. There is currently no other solution for filtering on the server. Please send e-mail to Support at Qdabra no spam dot com if you need help with configuration.

How to filter a drop-down based on datepicker

I have a drop-down list box control in a form. This control retrieves a list of bus routes from a SharePoint list. The drop-down contains items like "Monday A1 am" and "Sunday B2 pm." This list is very long. What I would like to do is filter this data so if the user selects a date from a datepicker it will only display relevent routes. For example, if the user selects 7/23/09 from the datepicker I only want routes that begin with "Thursday" to be displayed.

I have found some information regarding pulling the day of the week out of a datepicker. The issue I am having is how to filter the dropdown list with this information and still make it browser compatible.
