I am designing a form that needs to use a digital signature to make a managers authorisation legaly binding.

I have purchased a "Verisign Australia Class 1 Consumer Individual Subscriber CA" Digital Certificate and it lives on my PC.

I have followed these instructions: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb251748.aspx in InfoPath, and when I open the form in the browser and try to sign the form using my digital signature, I get an error saying "Verification Error - An Error occurred during signature verification"

I have read on this page: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc704269.aspx that

"To use a digital signature in a browser form, the certificate must reside in the user's Personal certificate store and the Trusted Root Certification Authorities certificate store on the Office SharePoint Server 2007 computer."

So I followed the instructions at the bottom of the page and installed the same certificate on our Sharepoint Server, but I still get the same error.

I am starting to think I have the wrong type of Digital Certificate.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks in advance.
