Hi Cywan,

What warrtalon said is absolutaly right, sometimes you just have to accept that the rendering in the InfoPath client is different from the rendering on the web.

Regarding the rendering of mandatory messages. This cannot be changed in css because it is rendered by Forms Server itself. However, I read yesterday that Micrososft has launched Service Pack 2 for WSS 3.0 and MOSS 2007 and that they have change something about the rendering of mandatory fields. You can have a look at the fixes here

Hi Samir,

I have found the way which i have amend on the view.xsl on the <languagestyle> elements and the font-size and the alignment are now the form in Sharepoint are now same with the form design.

However, may i know at which part of CSS that i need to amend in order for those mandatory message to be display align with the font-size of the fields attributes in the form? Please see my attachement. [mandatorymessage.png]

Please see the difference on the font size and alignments. What should i do to make the output to display exactly like the form in design mode?

Browser-enabled forms do not look exactly like rich client forms, because Forms Server is converting the form to aspx code for web rendering and not everything translates perfectly. There are actually many things you have to learn to work around in regards to table/cell sizing, shapes, fonts, and functionality. Even data connections work differently in some cases, such as with dropdown lists connected to a SharePoint list where the rich client sorts in the same order as the list, but the browser sorts by ID always.

Hey cywan,

It should display fine in IE6. Is it possible to send me a screenshot of the form and a screenshot of what you see in IE? Or you could also send me the form so I can test it for you in IE 7

Hi, I was using Internet Explorer Ver6.0 to view the form in SharePoint. Izit because of this it cause the form design display differently? Regards, cywan

Hi,

i made my designing in the InfoPath forms in terms of font-size and alignment. Everything looks nice in design mode at InfoPath but when i publish into SharePoint, all the design of the font size and alignment had changed.

May i know why this happen? Izit i need to change on the SharePoint css as well?
