You can do plain text or jazz it up with some HTML. Create a Work-flow then capture and do lookup to the fields you need for the current InfoPath form. You can send the email to any email address you specify.

Browser Form Submit -> Plain Text Email

Good afternoon,

I've designed a browser-enabled form, hosted in a Sharepoint library, to submit billing information to a billing department. Unfortunately they have a front end system which automatically processes received emails into tickets. The Infopath forms we have submitted to the system come out illegible in their ticketing system as it just does a C&P of the raw XML.

Is there a way to convert filled out fields from an Infopath form to an email containing human readable plain text?

From other topics on this forum it looks like a chunk of code might be required to get this done. Unfortunately, I'm a GUI-only Infopath user, and am unable to generate something from scratch.

Two questions:

1. Is there a standard form -> plain text email chunk of code out there already? If so, please provide a link. I think I could modify an example to suit my needs.

2. Once I have that code, how to I shoe-horn it into the form? I'm guessing I have to insert a button and then insert the code into that button? Really clueless here.

If anyone could lend a hand, I'd much appreciate it

Thanks, and regards,

-Matt Zulawski
