It also appears that I need to be a local admin at the SP server in addition to already being a farm admin to be able to upload the forms. Grr.

Has Infopath meanwhile become compatible with VS2008? It was also quite unfortunate to find out that it wasn't - after installing...

Re: Preview form in browser

Unfortunately No.

You can not preview with a browser.

In the next release the admin publish process will be expanded to make it less intensive but for now get admin rights to publish forms on a test site.

Not a lot of options for code debugging.

I have also found that you may need VS on the SP box to completely debug a browser form's code.

Preview form in browser

Is it possible to preview a browser-enabled form in a browser? This seems to be a common-sense functionality, but I am unable to find it...?

Basically, I have created several browser-enabled forms (with code) which run well in client mode, but two of them cause a rather uninformative "critical error" once any of their fields are clicked in the browser mode. As I loathe to pester our admin to bless my every attempt at debugging them, I'd rather have a way to view the forms in a browser without admin approval.
