I am developing my workflow in Visual Studio, so I will try using htmlencode/htmldecode as you suggest.

As for getting the rich text into my list, I just retrieve the content of the rich text box from the InfoPath form into a string variable in the workflow. I then populate the field in my SharePoint list with this value (the field is set as multiple lines of text, rich text).

Hi,

I think that it depends on whether you're using a custom workflow developed with Visual studio or with Sharepoint designer. With visual studio you could probably use some asp.net classes such as htmlencode & htmldecode. By the way, how did you manage to get the richtext box publishing HTML data into a sharepoint list?

When I try to do it with forms services, when publishing, infopath automatically uses "plaintext" and therefore my rich text becomes a text only data.

Any clue?

Rich Text Box in InfoPath form in MOSS

Hi,

I am deploying a custom workflow in MOSS which uses InfoPath 2007 forms to enable users to edit tasks. I have encountered a problem with the rich text box.

In the first task form I have a rich text box, which the user fills out and I retrieve the text into my workflow. In the second task form, the text is passed back from the workflow to display in another rich text box. However, this text box displays the html source of the text e.g.

<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><div><strong>Comments</strong></div><div><em>Today's comments are...</em></div></html>

How can I get it to display the marked-up text with formatting intact?

Any help much appreciated.
