Call it ManagerApproved or something, and have your button set it true, and it can check to see if that instance of Table_Approved = No and if the Approved By field is blank prior to populating the data - so pretty much the same idea as I what I suspect you are doing with your Table_Approved field. :)

Updating only certain fields in Repeating Table

Hello,

Long time reader, first time poster here; seeking advice on how to get around an issue I'm having regarding a repeating table.

I have an Overtime form which has two potential people who can approve. A "Manager" and a potential "Senior Manager". Whenever either the Manager or Senior Manager approves the overtime, a field called "Table_Approved" has its default value from "No" changed to "Yes" as well as an "Approved By" field which logs who have approved the form. This then will allow the original creator of the form to submit the form to our Finance department at the end of the month.

The problem is that if a Senior Manager approves the form for one piece of overtime, and a further one is submitted by the user which then the Manager approves, the "approved by" field gets overwritten with the most recent person who approved the form.

Is there a way I can stop this from happening? Ideally I would like the form to only approve items that "Table_Approved" = No, and fill in the "Approved By" field accordingly, leaving the overtime that is already approved.

Thanks
