I'm querying a secondary data source using a data connection. I have multiple fields where I am setting the query values of the secondary data source fields to values captured on the form (Action rule - Set a Fields Value). This works fine. However the user now wants to see results of the query where 2 datasource fields may equal 1 InfoPath field.

To help explain... in the datasource I have fields "DSCategory 1" and "DSCategory 2". On the form I capture "IPCategory" If the user enters "Cost of Goods Sold" for the "IPCategory", I need to return all data where DSCategory 1 is "Cost of Goods Sold" OR DSCategory 2 is "Cost of Good Sold". I can't use the Set a Fields Value in the Action for setting both fields to IPCategory, then I would only get matches where both DS Catgories are "Cost of Goods Sold".

The only thing I can think of to do is have 2 separate data connections and then 2 separate queries, and return the data in 2 separate lists (not in a single sorted list like the user wants) .

Any ideas on something else that could work?

Thanks!

Gwen
