You need to use the switch views action with this to switch between views.

Help with new rc button

Hi everyone, recently I've been transitioning to building forms from share point sites rather than from ms access, so I'm playing catch-up. I'll try to keep this straight to the point - I've always built forms under the impression that I could setup the form to load on whatever view I desired with the understanding that the view for "New records" could be used in a fashion that the user would automatically be taken to the "New Record" view so long as I made it the default page.

So I have my forms, 4 views. Edit, View, Search, and New. I form load specifically to the "Search" view so users can locate the desired record. At any point, they should be able to click the "new record" button and then be defaulted back to the New Record form because it is the default. This works fine in infopath preview, however - when this form is viewed in a browser environment, no switching of views takes place when the user clicks the "new record" button. Rather, the form remains in its current view and just clears out all the fields like it is to be filled out then and there. Please tell me I am missing something.

Thank you,

Josh
