I'm using:

Infopath 2007

SQL Server 2008

Laptop with touchscreen

I'm trying to create an Ink Picture control to capture physical signatures on the touchscreen.

In the database I've tried these data types so far: image, ntext, nvarchar(MAX), varbinary(MAX).

All of these types are listed as "simpleType" when Infopath links to the database.

When I try to create an Ink Picture control in a new form, I recieve the error: "A picture control whose picture is included in the form must be bound to a non-repeating field with a picture data type."

I cannot change the field's data type within Infopath. There is no such data type as "picture" as shown in the error message, and I cannot find anything which will force Infopath to recognise the fields as base64 compatible.

I am at a loss with this. Is there a way to use Infopath to save drawn signatures into a SQL table?

Thanks,

Joel
