So you know, this can be kind of hard.

First, to submit to a calendar, you'll need to write code or you can use qRules (it submits to a SharePoint list, which is what you need to do here).

Second, to check whether the date is valid, you'd want to query the list prior to submit and compare the start datetime with the existing entries to see if you have any overlap or duplicates - and display an error for the user.

So - I'm not sure what you have tried thus far, but maybe this will at least give you a clearer map of what needs to be done. :)

Trying to link a form to office 365

Hi,

I'm new to all this kind of stuff, so be gentle.

I've made a form on Infopath and now I'm trying to link it so when you submit it automatically creates an event on a calendar with all the fields in the event, such as name etc.

It's a booking system, so duplicates, overlapping times etc shouldn't be accepted and should prompt an error message.

I understand if this is "spoonfeeding" but since I've been doing it for a week trying different methods and still nothing I guess it wouldn't be harmful to ask.

Thanks.
