Add an extra field "leaver" with the default to False
Every employee must have a value.

Then your filtering rule should work once you've set some values.

You can always create a dummy view and just add your secondary data connection to actually see what the form is or is not doing.

How to filter names in an infopath form drop down field

Hi,

I have a drop down field in a list that is connected to a secondary data source which is a list of employee names.

In the employee name list I have a check box field for whether the person is a current employee or has left the business.

I wish to only show current employees in the drop down list and have therefore added a filter on the employee name in the drop down list - "Leaver (field selected from secondary data source) is not equal to TRUE"

This does not work - I have tried various options, but the list of names either does not display or it shows all employees, including those who have left. What do I need to do to only show current employees in my drop down please?

Thank you
