I've created a data connection to a sharepoint, then modified the path with a \\network\xxx path which is a mix NAS share location that can be access from windows and Unix file systems. I've executed the form and recieived the xml file in the shared location many times.

Here is my problem, after few successful tests, I decided to replace the path with another NAS share location and got "... is not http or https " errors. then I could not replicate the initial results any more even putting the same NAS path that worked before.

Any ideas?

Re: Infopath 2013 Submitting to a network folder

Hi Neil,

You can purchase a support pack here: http://www.qdabra.com/webstore/p/43/pay-as-you-go-support

Our hourly rate sheet is here: http://www.qdabra.com/en/consulting/ConsultingServiceRate.aspx

We do have staff working today in Asia.

If you purchase a pack, please email support (at) qdabra (dot) com with a copy of your form's template (XSN) along with instructions on when you would like the form to save to the network path and where that path is.

Thanks!

Re: Infopath 2013 Submitting to a network folder

How much code are we talking if be quite happy to have a go if I could find any info on it

If you aren't a programmer, it is a great way to add code-like features to your forms. We use it on all our internal forms here, rather than writing code for every form. It can save you a ton of time.

Re: Infopath 2013 Submitting to a network folder

That's great thanks I will give this a go

I have totally grasped how to enable the users to fill out the form the only issue I am having is saving the form to a network folder
The only options I get are sharepoint and a number of other options all I want is to save it too a basic folder on my network no more than that and it doesn't give me that option when setting up the buttons

If you can prove me wrong feel free I don't have any experience in info path at all but I really need to get this working

I spent a whole day on it yesterday and I am still none the wiser

Re: Infopath 2013 Submitting to a network folder

Using this method, users will have to navigate to the folder and select the form in order to fill it out. How the form is submitted depends on how you set up your submit options.
