To avoid disruption of the text formatting, you may use a concat command to display texts and contents of multiple fields on a single text box (or a rich text box if there are special characters involved). Please also check the sample form I am attaching for reference. Notice that you can include texts and punctuation marks within the concat formula by enclosing them with "apostrophes". As for the line break, please check this link.

Re: Is it possible to summarize a form data in a text box ?

Hi donstephen,

Thanks for the answer. I already thought of this solution and I tried it, but the problem is the same, the user cannot select everything in the canvas with one selection, he still has to select one field at the time and do one copy-paste for each field.

Instead of one big copy-pasting. I thought of putting everything in one single textbox but then other problems appear (can't use line break, bad formting etc...)

Re: Is it possible to summarize a form data in a text box ?

Hi destrok,

You may re-use the field on other pages of the form by simply dragging it onto the canvas. As an addition, you can set these fields as read only to prevent the user from chaging the initial value.

Is it possible to summarize a form data in a text box ?

Hello,

I am fairly new to infopath and I am trying to create a form for some users to request parts.

But to make the use of the form easier, instead of copy pasting every field into the order software, it is easier to have an already set text that the user just have to copy-paste.

For example my fields are:

Part Number: 123-456-789

Part Description: Bolt

Now the user has to type manually "Part Number" and "Part Description" and then copy the data from the text boxes into the software to have the good layout.

Is it possible to have a text box in an other view of the form that already displays what he needs to copy ?

Thanks

Regards
