On the form list the stages as individual fields. As per your post you could use a drop down box for each stage answer. The default value could be not started. Then you publish the form and drop down fields to your SP form library.

This way you could have a view with the employee name and each stage of the process as a column, in almost like a table and at a glance a manager or HR could see the new employee progress. Using a Save (Submit data connection) button, any changes made to the form are saved to the library.

SharePoint Lists with an Info Path Form to view and Add data

Dear ALL

Whilst not being entirely new to SharePoint it has only ever been used for very basic things within our business. I know have the need to track and monitor a list of New starters with their activities during the on-boarding program.

This program consists or many stage that i would like the user to select the status of the activity , i.e Not started , ongoing or completed my first thought was to create a SharePoint list and use an Info Path form to input the data and also view existing entries within the list so user can come in select their record and updated it for each stage.

I have managed to get the form working in terms of updating but i cannot get it to show the other list entries , i am sure this is possible and is just me me being thick.

I had also thought about using an Access data base and Publishing the Database to SharePoint i am however using Office 2013 and our SharePoint version is 2010 so i cannot get it to work properly.

Any advice would be greatly received

Kind regards
