I ended up just making a read-only view of the form with the data/repeating table I needed. Then the email just has a link to that doc lib and they go there to fulfill orders.

Thanks!

Re: Methodology help with repeating table values in an email

Hi nsterwald78,

I hope things are working out for you. Did you try adding a regular email submit data connection in the new view?

Re: Methodology help with repeating table values in an email

So, I ended up adding a few more fields to my table...and depending on the reward type chosen on the first drop down, I just populate those extra fields now. Some of it is duplicate info, but now I can take those fields that are populated only when a certain reward type is chosen and use them in a new view I made of the form.

Couldn't really figure out how to use said new view in email, so I ended up giving the vault a task instead which doesn't really lead anywhere once it's complete. This way they get a link to see the form with only the extra fields.

When you say tailored for email though...still trying to figure out how to present that in said email...and how to email that "View" to the correct people...

Re: Methodology help with repeating table values in an email

Hello nsterwald78,

You can probably add a logic that copies the line item to a separate table or fields if it's equal to the reward ID. Create a separate view that is taylored for email, and put the new table/fields in that view. Have a button that will switch to that view and email.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

Methodology help with repeating table values in an email

Hey all, if anyone has any insight to a solution for my situation I would greatly appreciate it.

I have a workflow I'm working on right now...managment recognition...where a manager can request a reward for their employee(s). They may add as many items as they want (repeating table with 8 columns) and each entry has a reward line entry has drop down being populated by a SharePoint list.

Please see attached.

So each reward has a number that corresponds with it (Title column in SP list, e.g. Amex has a Title entry of 12)

After submission, I have a line rule to trigger an email if a reward equals a certain number

so if a reward selection of 12 is selected, send an email to the vault for the amex card.

and here is my problem, In that email I have the fields from the repeating table

Reward amount - [TABLENAME_FIELDNAME]

Reward Qty - [TABLENAME_FIELDNAME]

and so on...

So the problem is if there are multiple lines in the workflow when submitted (say, 2 lines for Home depot cards, 1 line for Red Robin, and then one for an Amex), the email contains every single value for all entries in the table, not just the entries in the table where the reward_ID = 12 (just the line with Amex is what I want to send in an email.)

How can you select just one line item set of data to email out rather than all values to email along?

Hope that makes sense and thank you very much for your time and brain power!
