You could use CAML and have a button by each row to submit the rows individually - that would work without code - but that means trusting the user to click submit by each row. There may even be a way with somerule logic and a counter field to individually submit each row via CAML with the user only having to click one button - you'd have to set the values in your CAML data source for a row, submit, set it for another row, submit, etc....

Solution for storing repeating table rows to sharepoint lists?

Hi,

I searched on the web and so far I have found that there is no easy way to store repeating table values to sharepoint lists in IP 2003. Now, I wanted to give this a last try to figure out if there could be a work around to this.

Here is what is required:

1) The form that needs to be built has some questionaires (answers in free form), attachments, and majority of it is multiple repeating tables in the form. For example, there are 4 sections in the form:

a) Continent :

    Eithnicity | GDP | Population | % Finish College

b) Country

    Eithnicity | GDP | Population | % Finish College

c) State

  Eithnicity | GDP | Population | % Finish College

d) City

  Eithnicity | GDP | Population | % Finish College

Each of those repating tables in the sections need to be stored into the sharepoint list. I am trying to figure out what is the best way to capture this data and store in sharepoint. I think there are 3 aspects to this requirement: 1) Interface that collects the information, 2) A tool that stores the completed information, 3) Data management modeling

The limitations I have is that I can not write custom code for the sharepoint envirnment. However, I do have access to the Sharepoint Designer which allows me some custom code. I have access to Web Parts but haven't used them before.

Any help guidence would be much appreciated.

Regards
